The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Thanks!

Moodle & Personality Types

Content Type: How To's

Target Audience: Teacher / Course Creator

Language: English

Description of Presentation

Yes, indeed ... Everyone Matters ... That's what I believe and would like to talk about . People are different and so are their learning preferences . Accordingly , they require different kinds of teaching and instructions to learn best. There are lots of students who are actually being ignored in classrooms and different educational environments just because of their learning preferences being different from what is offered there. It often happens because of the lack of educators or the content designers' knowledge regarding these differences. Type Psychology and Personality Types would definitely be an aid to resolve this and help us reach educational goals in a more effective and accurate manner. The idea is interestingly applicable to Moodle as an elearning environment to favor the widest possible range of learners. Let's call it another way to state that "Everyone Matters” !

In the presentation, first, I will have a quick introduction to the theory of Personality Types and preferences and then briefly on how it can help teachers/course designers to enrich the Moodle website, applying the knowledge of Types .

In my opinion, It can affect the output of the elearning process in a variety of ways like developing new course designs favoring different learners, enabling users to opt between different time management approaches , establish and maintaining proper communication and relationships with learners and all in all , motivation as a means to educational success.
