Presentations

If you would like to present at this year's iMoot, or view the list of approved presentations, you have come to the right place.

The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

Thanks!

MoodleBites courses

Content Type: Case Study

Target Audience: Teacher / Course Creator

Language: English

Description of Presentation

This presentation will explore the MoodleBites range of 100% online courses, which we have developed over the past 8 years.

  • MoodleBites for Teachers (also used for MCCC preparation)
  • MoodleBites for Course Designers (for advanced & experienced users)
  • MoodleBites for Administrators
  • MoodleBites MySQL Reporting

In addition, we will share details of the new courses launched in 2015:

  • MoodleBites for Facilitators (cost-effective entry level course)
  • MoodleBites for Developers - probably the only up-to-date Moodle developer course around!
  • MoodleBItes SCORM - all about creating and using SCORM content with Moodle

The presentation will share our design philosophy, as well as giving opportunity to understand and see some course content. So it could be useful for anyone currently designing courses, to see how we do it (with a lot of experience going into these courses).

Also we will share some statistics about participants, success rates, problems, feedback, etc. intended to help others identify common issues with completely online course delivery in an international context.

Finally we will explain about the unique licensing approach, which allows organisations to purchase and use these courses on their own Moodle site (!) for staff development. The courses are fully editable, and can instantly be branded to a different organisation, resulting in something that can be quickly customised, and appear 'as your own content' smile
